Legal

PrivacyPolicy.

This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what we do with it. It covers the website only — not any separate agreement you may have with us as a client, student or supplier.

Draft — not yet reviewed

Draft for review. This document describes how the website currently works, but it has not yet been checked by a legal adviser and contains details still to be confirmed. Do not treat it as final.

Who is responsible

COLLINS Creative Group SARLU, Limbe, South-West Region, Cameroon, is responsible for the personal information described here.

Registered company details and the address for formal notices: [TO CONFIRM — registered office, RCCM registration number, and the name or role responsible for data protection enquiries].

For anything in this policy, contact us through the details at the end.

What we collect

We collect information in only two ways.

  • The contact form. When you send an enquiry we receive your name, organisation, email address, phone number, the service you are asking about, your project description, and optionally a budget range and timeline.
  • The SMMA admissions form. When you register interest in a programme we receive your name, email address, phone number, the programme you are interested in, and your reasons for applying.
  • Ordinary server records. Like any website, our server records the IP address, browser type and pages requested for each visit. These records exist to keep the site running and secure.
  • Each form submission also carries the page you sent it from and how long you spent on the page before submitting. We use that only to help distinguish genuine enquiries from automated spam.

What we do not collect

We want to be specific here, because most privacy policies are vague about it.

This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics — no Google Analytics or any equivalent. It carries no advertising and no tracking pixels, and it does not store anything in your browser. We do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

If that ever changes, this policy and the cookie policy will be updated before the change goes live.

Why we use it, and on what basis

  • To reply to you. We use what you send through the forms to answer your enquiry or respond to your interest in a programme. Without it we cannot reply.
  • To keep records of enquiries so we can follow up properly and understand what people are asking us for.
  • To keep the site secure and to prevent and investigate abuse.
  • We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to.

Who else sees it

We do not share personal information with third parties for their own purposes. It is handled by:

  • Our hosting provider, which operates the servers this site runs on: [TO CONFIRM — hosting provider and the country its servers are in].
  • The service that receives form submissions and delivers them to us: [TO CONFIRM — form handling service or in-house endpoint, and where it stores submissions].
  • Professional advisers or authorities, where the law requires it.

Separately, and worth knowing: the photographs on this site are currently served by Unsplash, a third-party image host. Your browser requests those images directly, so Unsplash can see your IP address and browser type as part of serving them. It receives nothing you type into a form. We plan to host our own imagery, which will end that.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and admissions interest are kept for [TO CONFIRM — retention period, for example 24 months from last contact], after which they are deleted unless you have become a client or student, in which case the records are kept under our normal business record-keeping.

Server records are kept for [TO CONFIRM — log retention period].

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, or stop using it. You can also object to how we are using it.

Write to us using the details below and we will respond within [TO CONFIRM — response commitment, for example 30 days]. We may need to confirm your identity first, so that we do not disclose your information to someone else.

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, additional rights may apply to you, and you may have the right to complain to your national data protection authority. [TO CONFIRM — whether the company is within scope of the GDPR, and if so the lawful bases and any representative arrangements. This needs a legal view.]

Keeping it safe

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and form submissions are transmitted encrypted. Access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it to do their work.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that information sent over the internet is completely safe. Please do not send sensitive personal information — identity documents, financial details, health information — through the website forms.

Children

The website is aimed at businesses, organisations and prospective students. Where an applicant to an SMMA programme is under the age of majority, we expect a parent or guardian to be involved in the application. [TO CONFIRM — minimum age for admissions and how consent is handled].

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date shown at the top of the page. Where the change is significant, we will say so on the site.
